Private Investigator Schools In California

private investigator schools in california
Has anyone here ever heard or attended the Nick Harris Detectives Academy in California?

I heard it was a good school to break into the profession of being a private investigator. Has anyone ever attended or heard of this school and is it true that will help you find a job in this career field? The owner was a famous pi in his own right and they say it is a legendary school, any info would be great!

Check with the California Licensing Division, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services at
(800) 952-5210. They are the state agency that licenses PI’s.
I want you to check to see if you need to go to one of these private academies to get a California license, I doubt it.
Nick Harris Agency has been around since the turn of the 20th century, only Pinkerton is older and still in business.
The agency was known as cheaters detectives. Just like in the sleazy TV show. In fact they where the main agency used in the show.

In my state anyone who passes the test, studying on their own or at a school (none in my state has the chutzpah to call them selves a academy like in a police academy) and puts up the proper money for insurance and bonding gets their license.
